On April 29, 2007, Central Texas Healthy Mothers, Healthy Babies Coalition honored “Special Moms” at the Ruta Maya Mothers’ Day Event. The Eggmen band played and everyone had a wonderful time!

Gifts were presented to the “Special Moms.”

Hellen Sullivan - for helping moms breastfeed during Hurricane Rita.

Michelle Hickey and Amy Sullivant - for their efforts to educate pool owners, pool staff, city council, etc. about the rights of breastfeeding mothers in Kyle, Texas.

Angela Plunkett - for her donations to the Mothers’ Milk Bank at Austin.

Jeannette Ruiz - for her efforts to help WIC moms breastfeed as a Peer Counselor.

Teresa and Angel Velasquez - for fighting for the right to breastfeed at school.

Gail Gresham honored Kelly Woods and Tracy Erickson with flowers:
